The Military Manœuvres Act, 1915.—Declaration that certain Lands shall be available for Military Manœuvres.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section two of the Military Manœuvres Act, 1915, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date of this Proclamation and thereafter during the present war or until this Proclamation shall be revoked, be available for military manœuvres under the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south bank of the Manawatu River opposite the north boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Mount Robinson Survey District, and proceeding thence generally north-easterly following the south bank of the Manawatu River to its intersection with the Main Woodville-Greytown Highway at Ngawapurua combined road and railway bridge; thence proceeding generally southwards following the western boundary of that highway to its junction with the northern boundary of Mauriceville County between Eketahuna and Greytown; thence generally westerly following the northern boundary of Mauriceville County to the junction of the Mauriceville, Eketahuna, and Horowhenua Counties; thence by a right line to the point of commencement, being portions of the Counties of Horowhenua, Kairanga, Pahiatua, and Eketahuna.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of February, 1943.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, containing by admeasurement 123 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 7, 8, and 9, Block XV, Otanewainuku Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 30/4, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of February, 1943.

A

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block V, Mangakahia Survey District, North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land and has been used by the public as if it were a public road, and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public funds :

And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the twenty-third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :

Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1943.
