Consenting to the Closing of Portion of Weld Street in the Borough of

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 3rd day of February, 1943.

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, as amended by section fifteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1938, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the closing of the portion of Weld Street in the Borough of Hokitika described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the portion of street affected: 1·91 perches. Adjoining Section 225, Town of Hokitika.
Situated in Block I, Kaniere Survey District (Borough of Hokitika) (Westland R.D.).
In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113745, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

Consenting to the Acquisition of an Aerodrome-site by the Westport Borough Council and the Buller County Council.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of January, 1943.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act, 1929, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby consent to the acquisition by the Westport Borough Council and the Buller County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to the establishment and maintenance of an aerodrome thereon.
SCHEDULE.
FIRST, all that piece of land situate in the Buller County, Nelson Land District, containing 125 acres and 22 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 17, Block II, Steeples Survey District, and being all the land shown on Deposited Plan No. 3121, Nelson Registry.
Secondly, all that piece of land situate as aforesaid containing 7 acres and 34 perches, more or less, being Sections 40 and 41, Block II, Steeples Survey District.
Thirdly, all that piece of land situate as aforesaid containing 47 acres and 9 perches, more or less, being Sections 20, 32, and 39, Block II, Steeples Survey District.

Vesting a Reserve in the Otago Harbour Board.

THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for harbour-improvement purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Otago Harbour Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Otago Harbour Board, in trust, for harbour-improvement purposes.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
All that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 15·24 perches, more or less, being part of Section 27, Sawyer's Bay District, and being all the land coloured sepia and orange on S.O. plan 9309. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 542·45 links; towards the north-east by Railway Reserve, 333·82 links; towards the south-east, north-east, and south-east by other part of Section 27, 155·69 links, 220·79 links, 387·26 links, 104·5 links; towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Railway Reserve, 128·67 links, 196·51 links, 310·84 links, 196·4 links; towards the south-west by other part Section 27, 200·23 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/9/73, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Validating a Special Order made by Kawhia County Council authorizing Sale of Land.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1943.
Present:
THE HON. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS on the sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, the County Council of the Kawhia County passed a resolution pursuant to sections ninety-nine and one hundred and fifty-two of the Counties Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), authorizing the sale of Section 11, Block XI, Township of Kawhia:
And whereas the said Council gave public notice of the time and place fixed for the meeting to confirm the said resolution and of that resolution in each of four weeks preceding the date of the meeting held to confirm the said resolution as a special order, but such public notice was not given in each of the four weeks immediately preceding the date of the said meeting, as required by section ninety-nine of the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient to validate proceedings in connection with the making of the special order aforesaid:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by section two hundred and sixteen of the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the said special order shall be valid to all intents and purposes as if the public notice aforesaid had been given as required by the provisions of section ninety-nine of the said Act, and doth further declare that the said special order shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
