Error in Notice No. 15 of 1943

Position: Bean Rocks Lighthouse. Lat., 36° 50′ S.; long., 174° 50′ E. (approx.).

Error: In the above notice “(1) Alterations in Light-buoy,” the bearing of the position should be altered from “246°” to “264°.”

Notice to Mariners No. 19 of 1943

ADMIRALTY PUBLICATION

A NEW chart, No. 3797, dated 29/1/43, has been published, and copies are now available for sale at Government Shipping Offices.

The chart extends from Mayor Island to Katherine Bay, Great Barrier Island (including Hauraki Gulf), and shows the new survey northward of Castle Rock by H.M.S. “Endeavour.”

*Price Order No.143 (Knitted Wear manufactured by Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd.)**

Pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 143, and shall come into force on the 28th day of June, 1943.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. (1) Except as provided in the next succeeding subclause, this Order shall apply with respect to all knitted wear manufactured by Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd., of a kind described in the Schedule hereto by reference to its number, size, kind, colour, trade designation, or abbreviation.

(2) Where the maximum retail price of any goods of a kind described in the Schedule hereto has heretofore been fixed by any Price Order that is in force on the coming into force of this Order, the provisions of the last-mentioned Price Order shall continue to apply with respect to all goods of that kind that were acquired by a retailer before the 1st day of February, 1943, and shall also apply to any such goods acquired by a retailer after that date (whether before or after the coming into force of this Order) at a price (including any freight or other charges) not exceeding the price at which he could have acquired those goods from the same vendor at any time during the month of January, 1943.

FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF GOODS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any goods to which this Order applies shall be the appropriate maximum price set out in the Schedule hereto.
