Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Fish Canning

AN application has been received from Pilchard Preserving Co., Ltd., Wellington, for a fish-canner’s license to enable them to establish and operate a factory, for the canning of fish for sale, at 75–77 Dixon Street, Wellington.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 7th July, 1943.

The Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2

PURSUANT to the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

(1) This notice may be cited as the Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Dunedin Milk Delivery Scheme, 1942† (hereinafter referred to as “the principal scheme”).

(2) Clause (3) of the principal scheme is hereby amended as follows :—

(a) To the description of Zone No. 2, operated by J. C. Booth of Wakari, add the following : “including that portion of Prospect Bank between Lynn Street and No. 33 (inclusive) on the northern (upper) side, and between Lynn Street and the gully opposite No. 35 on the southern (lower) side.”

(b) To the description of Zone No. 5, operated by J. D. Bain of Kaikorai, add the following : “including that portion of Prospect Bank between Shetland Street and No. 31 (inclusive) on the northern (upper) side, and between Shetland Street and the gully opposite No. 35 on the southern (lower) side.”

Notice of Intention to take Land for Public Works

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto for public works : And notice is hereby further given that the respective plans of the land required to be taken are deposited in the post-offices as set out in such Schedules ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the 30th day of June, 1943, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
