Consenting to the Closing of Portion of Weld Street in the Borough of Greymouth.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of December, 1942.

Present:

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, as amended by section fifteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1938, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the closing of the portion of Weld Street, in the Borough of Greymouth, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of street affected: 1·91 perches Adjoining Section 225, Town of Hokitika.

Situated in Block I, Kaniere Survey District (Borough of Hokitika) (Westland R.D.).

In the Westland Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113745, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for housing purposes.

Time for Preparation of Triennial Valuation Roll, Borough of Milton, under the Rating Act, 1925, extended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1943.

Present:

The Hon. D. G. SULLIVAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Council of the Borough of Milton having failed, through misadventure, to prepare the triennial valuation roll of all rateable property in the Borough of Milton on or before the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, as required by section eight of the Rating Act, 1925, it is expedient to extend the time for preparing the said roll as hereinbefore mentioned:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, in order that the purpose and intent of the said Rating Act, 1925, may have effect, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby extend the time for the preparation of the valuation roll for the Borough of Milton under the Rating Act, 1925, until the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three, and doth also hereby extend the time within which objections to such valuations may be made on or before the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
