The Sea Carriage of Goods Act Commencement Order 1943.

A PROCLAMATION.

PURSUANT to the Constitution Act, the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894 (Imperial), and the Sea Carriage of Goods Act, 1940, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as follows:

  1. This Proclamation may be cited as the Sea Carriage of Goods Act Commencement Order 1943.

  2. A Bill entitled "An Act to amend the Law relating to the Carriage of Goods by Sea," and to be cited as the Sea Carriage of Goods Act, 1940, which was reserved by the Governor-General for the signification of His Majesty's pleasure thereon, has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and His Majesty in Council has been pleased to confirm and declare His Majesty's assent to the same.

  3. The Sea Carriage of Goods Act, 1940, shall come into force on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of January, 1943.

Land proclaimed as Street, and Street closed, in the Borough of Napier, and the Land contained in the Street closed added to an Endowment.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as street the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and

also do hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Second Schedule hereto; and I do also declare the land comprised in the street closed to be added to the adjacent endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS STREET.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as street 27·3 perches.

Being Lot 3, D.P. 6422, being part Lot 25 on S.O. roll plan 64, Napier; coloured blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

STREET CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of street closed:—

A. R. P. Being
0 0 25 Lot 1, D.P. 6422, part Ahuriri Lagoon Reserve; coloured green.
0 0 4·3 Lot 2, D.P. 6422, part Ahuriri Lagoon Reserve; coloured green.

All situated in the Borough of Napier (Hawke’s Bay R.D.).

All in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 115480, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.
