ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of April,

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart
and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Native reservation for the common use of the Ngatitu
hapu of the Ngaruahine Tribe as a bathing-place.


SCHEDULE

THE parcel of land containing 10 acres, more or less, situated in
Block VI, Waimate Survey District, being part of the Otamare
Block. As the same is shown coloured pink on the plan marked
N.D. 21/3/109, lodged in the Head Office of the Native Department
at Wellington.

Nomination of Persons qualified for Appointment as Assessors in
Criminal Trials under the Cook Islands Act, 1915

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section two hundred
and ninety-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, I, Cyril Louis
Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby revoke the nominations of persons qualified for
appointment as Assessors in criminal trials in the High Court of
the Cook Islands, made by Warrant gazetted in New Zealand Gazette
No. 52 of the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-three, at page 1947, and New Zealand Gazette
No. 2 of the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred
and forty-two, at page 12, in respect of persons in the Island of
Niue, and in lieu thereof I hereby nominate the persons named in
the Schedule hereto as persons qualified for appointment as Assessors
under the said Act generally in criminal trials in the High Court of
the Cook Islands in the Island of Niue, and I declare that this
Warrant shall take effect on the first day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-three.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Declaration of
Essential Industry (No. 108)

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare all work
undertaken at Lake Grassmere by or on behalf of the Latex Rubber
Co., Ltd., for the production of salt and the development and main-
tenance of facilities for the production of salt, to be an essential
industry for the purposes of those regulations.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Declaration of
Essential Industry (No. 113)

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942,
the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby declare the retail
distribution of coal to be an essential industry for the purposes of
those regulations.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11
of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942,

undertakings set forth hereunder to be essential undertakings for
the purposes of those regulations :-

Victoria University College in respect of Weir House.
The Wellington Society for the Relief of the Aged Needy in
respect of the Home for the Aged Needy at Newtown.
