Mining Privilege to be struck off the Register
Mining Registrar’s Office, Paeroa, 16th April, 1943.
NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, that, unless sufficient cause to the contrary is shown within one month from the date hereof, the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register.

Price Order No. 135 (Candles)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following Price Order:—
PRELIMINARY

This order may be cited as Price Order No. 135, and shall come into force on the 10th day of May, 1943.

(1) Price Order No. 120† is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said Price Order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This order applies with respect to ordinary household candles manufactured in New Zealand.
FIXING MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF CANDLES TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES
- The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for candles to which this Order applies shall be determined as follows:—
(a) Where supplies of candles are delivered to a retailer by a wholesaler who buys or is able to buy “freight free” or who not buying “freight free” receives or is entitled to receive a credit or other concession or allowance in respect of freight, and the retailer does not himself incur any freight charges, the maximum retail price per packet of six candles shall be .. .. .. .. 1 5
(b) In any other case the maximum retail price per packet of six candles shall be .. .. .. 1 5½
(c) Where candles are sold by a retailer otherwise than in packet lots of six candles each, the maximum retail price shall be .. .. .. .. 0 3
