Classification of Roads in Whangarei County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the Whangarei County Council’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Whangarei County.
SCHEDULE.
ROAD classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 3½ tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 4 tons on any one axle :—
Tutaematai Rawhiti Road.

Election of Member of North Auckland Land Board.
Lands and Survey Office, North Auckland Land District, Auckland, 12th April, 1943.
IN accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations thereunder, I, Leo John Poff, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, as Returning Officer for the election of a member of the North Auckland Land Board, do hereby declare the result of the poll taken on the 12th April, 1943, to be as follows :—

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.
TO the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land containing 40 acres, more or less, situated in the Parish of Waikare, in the County of Marsden, and being south-western middle portion of Allotment No. 36, bounded on the north-east by other portion of Allotment No. 36, 2830 links; on the south-east by a road 100 links wide, 670 links, and by the same road continued; on the south-west by other portion of Allotment No. 36 aforesaid, 3200 links, and on the north-west by Allotment No. 37, 1300 links, and being the whole of the land described in an unregistered Crown Grant No. 21B, to George Frederick Braggins, of Auckland, Carpenter.
Whereas, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described land cannot be found: And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 21st April, 1943, issued to—
Francis Alexander Taylor, Labourer, Hillcrest Road, Hamilton, Registration No. 641444, and
Claude Douglas Allerby, Farmer, Te Wera, Taranaki, Registration No. 638525,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Industry No. 123.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 11 of the Industrial Man-power Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Industrial Man-power doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Industry No. 123 by inserting, after the words “for the purposes of those regulations”, the words—
“This declaration shall also apply to all electrical draughtsmen, technical engineers, production engineers, and estimating and costing engineers employed in undertakings in which any work is performed that comes within any of the classes of work specified above.”
