Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.
AN application has been received from N. Ferguson, 7 Margaret Street, Palmerston North, for a license to commence in the above industry to the extent of manufacturing sandals made from discarded rubber tires.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, should furnish them in writing not later than 29th April, 1943.

The Timber Control Notice No. 55.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 and the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939, the Timber Controller requires and directs as follows :
- This notice may be cited as the Timber Control Notice No. 55.
- This notice shall come into force the day next following the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette, but shall not apply to doors for which orders have been placed before that date if they are delivered by the 30th June, 1943.
- In this notice—
“The said specification” means the New Zealand Emergency Standard Specification entitled “New Zealand Emergency Standard Specification for Doors,” issued by the New Zealand Standards Institute under the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, bearing date March, 1943, and numbered N.Z.S.S. E. 106,* and includes any amendment thereof which may hereafter be issued or any specification which may hereafter be issued in substitution therefor;
“Door” means a door exceeding 4 ft. 6 in. in height but not exceeding 7 ft. 6 in. in height ; but does not include a cupboard door or a door for any domestic outbuilding or garage. - Except with the prior written consent of the Building Controller no proprietor, within the meaning of the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939, of any sash and door factory or joinery factory shall manufacture any door or allow or permit any door to be manufactured therein unless the door is of one of the type specified in the said specification and conforms to the requirements of the said specification.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921-22, for the purposes of a permanent State forest.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Matamata County, containing by admeasurement 943 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XII and XVI, Tapapa Survey District, and Blocks II and IV, Tapapa East Survey District, and being Whaiti-Kuranui No. 6c No. 2B Block (certificate of title, Vol. 253, folio 298), Whaiti-Kuranui No. 6c No. 2c Block (certificate of title, Vol. 257, folio 22), and Whaiti-Kuranui No. 6c No. 2D Block (certificate of title, Vol. 255, folio 241). As the same is delineated on plan No. 29/9, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
