IN pursuance of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, 1908, section 15, notice is hereby given that an Instrument of Dissolution has been registered by the McKay Co-operative Orthopaedic Society, Limited, and that unless proceedings to set aside such dissolution be instituted within three months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing a copy of this notice, and such dissolution is set aside accordingly, the above-mentioned society will be legally dissolved.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Pictorial Instruction Equipments, Ltd., will be held on Monday, 12th April, 1943, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the registered office of the company, 2nd Floor, National Insurance Buildings, O’Connell Street, Auckland, on Monday, 12th April, 1943, at 3 p.m. in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the companies affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE CITY OF WELLINGTON FOR HOSPITAL PURPOSES.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Wellington Hospital Board, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land and rights described in the Schedule hereto for hospital purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so to be taken is deposited at the offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, of 150 Featherston Street, Wellington, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of such land and rights should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington Hospital Board at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

(1) All that piece of land containing twenty perches and seventy-four one-hundredths of a perch (20·74 perches), being part of Section 759, Town of Wellington, and being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6898, together with the rights-of-way over those parts of Lots 2 and 3 on the said deposited plan which are coloured blue and over that part of Lot 4 on the said deposited plan which is coloured sepia on the plan referred to in the above notice created by Transfers 167766 and 167767; subject, however, to the rights-of-way over that part of Lot 1 on the said deposited plan which is coloured sepia in the said plan referred to in the above notice created by the said transfers,

and subject to conditions of consent by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens to a private way over part registered in the Deeds Register Office at Wellington as Outstanding Deed No. 98107 and in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as K. 2756.

(2) All that piece of land containing twenty-four perches and thirty-three one-hundredths of a perch (24·33 perches), being part of Section 759, Town of Wellington, and being Lot 4 on Deposited Plan 6898, together with the rights-of-way over those parts of Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan 6898 which are coloured blue and over that part of Lot 1 on the said deposited plan which is coloured orange on the plan referred to in the above notice created by Transfer 179204; subject, however, to the rights-of-way over that part of the said Lot 4 on the said deposited plan which is coloured blue in the said plan referred to in the above notice created by Transfers 167766 and 167767, and subject to conditions of consent by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens to a private way over part registered in the Deeds Register Office at Wellington as Outstanding Deed No. 98107 and in the Lands Registry Office at Wellington as K. 2756.

(3) All those the rights-of-way created by Transfers 167766 and 167767 over those parts of Lots 2 and 3 on the said Deposited Plan 6898 which are coloured blue on the plan referred to in the above notice.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

I, ROLAND JOHN DALLAS PARK, M.B., B.S. (Melb.), 1942, now residing in Titahi Bay, Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 15th April, 1943, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

PETONE AND LOWER HUTT GAS LIGHTING BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £18,500, authorized to be raised by the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of funding the excess overdraft as at the 31st March, 1942, the said Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 19/100ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Petone and the City of Lower Hutt, comprising the whole of the Borough of Petone and the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

It is hereby certified that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board at a meeting of the said Board held on the 9th day of March, 1943.
