NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of regulations and orders as under:—

Public Notice, as to Retail Sales of Eggs by Producers, given under the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942.
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on me by the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942* and the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942, Amendment No. 1†, I hereby give directions, in accordance with the provisions of this notice, with respect to retail sales of eggs by producers.
NOTICE.
- This notice may be cited as the Sale of Eggs Notice 1943, No. 1.
- In this notice “Producer” means the occupier of a poultry-run registered under the Poultry-runs Registration Act, 1933.
- While this notice continues in force, no producer shall sell by way of retail more than one dozen eggs to or on account of any one purchaser on any one day.
- Every producer who sells any eggs by way of retail shall keep a record of all retail sales, showing in respect of each transaction the date of sale, the name and address of the purchaser, and the place of delivery. All such records shall at all reasonable times be open to inspection by any officer of the Internal Marketing Division of the Marketing Department or by any other person who is for the time being authorized under and for the purposes of Regulation 30 of the Egg Marketing Regulations 1940‡.
- Every person who fails to comply with the terms of this notice is guilty of an offence and is liable accordingly to the penalties prescribed by clause 9 of the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942.

The Motion-picture Operators’ Labour Legislation Suspension and Modification Order 1943.
WHEREAS an agreement dated the 20th day of August, 1942, was entered into between the New Zealand Federated Motion-picture Projectionists’ Industrial Association of Workers and the New Zealand Motion-picture Exhibitors’ Association, Incorporated, for the training of male and female motion-picture operators on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Labour Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Labour doth hereby order as follows:—
- This Order may be cited as the Motion-picture Operators’ Labour Legislation Suspension and Modification Order 1943.
- For the purposes of this Order—
(1) Terms defined in the Cinematograph Operators Licensing Regulations 1938, when used in this Order, have the meanings severally assigned thereto by those regulations:
(2) “Supervising operator” means a motion-picture operator who is authorized under the Cinematograph Operators Emergency Regulations 1943 to supervise the training of a trainee, and who is employed in that capacity:
(3) “Trainee” means a person, male or female, who is the holder of a training license issued under the Cinematograph Operators Emergency Regulations 1943:
(4) “Union” means the New Zealand Federated Motion-picture Projectionists’ Industrial Association of Workers and includes any union affiliated thereto. - This Order applies to trainees and supervising operators employed in places where silent or sound films are exhibited for pecuniary gain, and to the employers of such workers.
- The provisions of the New Zealand Motion-picture Operators’ award dated the 31st day of March, 1939, and recorded in 39 Book of Awards 314, shall be and are hereby (1) suspended in so far as they operate to prevent or restrict the employment of trainees on
