Advertisement of Cancelling.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Deputy Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 18th day of January, 1943, cancelled the registry of Mount Arthur Lodge, No. 127, of the Independent Order of Oddfellows of New Zealand Friendly Society (Register No. 146/194), held at Motueka, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

PURSUANT to section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a general meeting of the company will be held in the office of Clarke, Menzies, Griffin, and Co., Public Accountants, 102 Featherston Street, Wellington, at noon on Monday, the 8th day of February, 1943, for the purpose of laying before such meeting an account of the winding-up, showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and giving any explanation thereof.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECREATION-GROUNDS AND MUNICIPAL MOTOR-CAMP.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1935, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Palmerston North City Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, the following lands required for the purpose of recreation-grounds and municipal motor-camp: All that parcel of land situate in the City of Palmerston North containing 21 acres 3 roods 29'45 perches, more or less, being parts of Hokowhitu Nos. 5, 6, and 7, and being also parts of Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan 1332, and being the balance of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 328, folio 293 (Wellington Registry), subject to the drainage rights created by Transfer No. 171361.
A plan of the said lands is deposited at the public office of the Palmerston North City Council, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk of the Palmerston North City Council.
