CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 19th January, 1943.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 22nd February, 1943.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 23rd February, 1943, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon the conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit on the weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Te Kuiti Native Township.

SECTION 6, Block VII : Area, 1 rood 9 perches. Capital value, £370 ; half-yearly rent, £9 5s.

Weighted with £700 for improvements, comprising dwelling containing sitting-room, dining-room (both with open fireplaces), kitchen, two bathrooms, and eleven other rooms suitable as bedrooms. There is also a washhouse and old shed. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £100, the balance may be left on mortgage to the State Advances Corporation, repayable by monthly instalments of principal and interest over a period of fifteen years with interest charged at the rate of 4⅝ per cent. per annum reducible to 4½ per cent. for prompt payment.

A level section in Taupiri Street, one-quarter of a mile from the centre of the town. Laid out in lawn and gravel paths, with close-board fence in front in a somewhat dilapidated condition. The general condition is poor.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Friday, 12th March, 1943, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—VILLAGE LAND.
Motu Village.

SECTIONS 7 and 8, Block IV : Area, 2 roods. Capital value, £10 ; half-yearly rent, 5s.

This vacant section is situated opposite to the Public Hall. It is somewhat damp, and rushes are very prevalent.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcels of land hereinafter described will be brought under the provisions of the Land Transfer Act, 1915, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before 22nd February, 1943:

  1. HENRY INGRAM INSLEY, of Cowes Bay, Waiheke Island, Boardinghouse-keeper. Parts of Allotment 2, Parish of Waiheke, containing 3 roods 9·2 perches, being Lots 1 and 2, Plan 31180. Lot 1 occupied by Henry William Insley, of Auckland, Engineer, and Lot 2 occupied by the applicant.

EVIDENCE of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 119, folio 82 (Taranaki Registry), for Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 5034, being part of Sections Nos. 356 and 357 of the Town of New Plymouth, whereof WILLIAM HENRY JONES and ARTHUR FREDERICK SANDFORD, both of New Plymouth, Building Contractors, as tenants in common in equal shares are the registered proprietors, and of certificate of title, Vol. 109, folio 105 (Taranaki Registry), for (now) Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan No. 4419, being part of Sections Nos. 2095, 2096, and 2114 of the Town of New Plymouth, whereof EDWARD JAMES CARTHEW, Gentleman (one-third share), and FRANCIS GEORGE CARTHEW, Settler, and EDMUND WILLIAM MARKHAM LYSONS, Surveyor (jointly, inter se, two-thirds share), all of New Plymouth, are the registered proprietors, together with applications for new certificates of title in lieu thereof, notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such new certificates of title after fourteen days from the 21st January, 1943.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 450, folio 170 (Canterbury Registry), for Section 15, Block XVII, Town of Hinds, situate in Block VI, Hinds Survey District, whereof DAVID GEORGE BUTTERWORTH, of Hinds, Labourer, is the registered proprietor, and application having been made to me for the issue of a new certificate of title in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice of my intention to issue such new certificate of title at the expiration of fourteen days from 21st January, 1943.
