HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, and termination of appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy:β€”

Commander William Gronow Davis, D.S.C., R.N., appointed H.M.N.Z. ship in command as directed, to date 5th February, 1943 (granted the acting rank of Captain whilst holding this appointment).

Paymaster Lieutenant-Commander Robert Stuart Patrick Marrs, R.N., granted the acting rank of Paymaster Commander whilst holding present appointment, to date 1st November, 1942.

Mr. John Caldecott Mosford, Temporary Acting Gunner, R.N., confirmed in rank with original seniority of 2nd October, 1941.

Mr. Albert Edward Lamerton, Gunner (T), R.N. (Retired), entered as Probationary Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Special Branch), Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve, and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, to date 11th January, 1943.

Master-at-Arms Philip James Hunter, N.Z. 1999, promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Warrant Master-at-Arms, to date 15th January, 1943, and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, to date 20th January, 1943.

Chief Petty Officer Richard Eric Fordyce, N.Z. 541, promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Gunner, and appointed H.M.N.Z. ship as directed, to date 9th February, 1943.
