Land and Leasehold Estates or Interest in Land taken, and Crown Land set apart, for Public Works.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, that the leasehold estate or interest held from His Majesty the King by Robert Edward Francis O’Rourke, of Maruia, Farmer, under and by virtue of renewable lease, Volume 49, folio 83, in the land firstly, second, and thirdly described in the Second Schedule hereto, and under and by virtue of lease in perpetuity, Volume 50, folio 189, in the land fourthly, fifthly, sixthly, and seventhly described in the Second Schedule hereto, that the leasehold estate or interest held from His Majesty the King by Francis Strathallan Hayes, of Westport, School-teacher, under and by virtue of lease in perpetuity, Volume 50, folio 188, in the land eighthly described in the Second Schedule hereto, and under and by virtue of renewable lease, Volume 34, folio 93, in the land ninthly described in the Second Schedule hereto, that the leasehold estate or interest held from His Majesty the King by Roy Strathallan Hayes, of Murchison, Farmer, under and by virtue of renewable lease, Volume 73, folio 61, in the land tenthly described in the Second Schedule hereto, and under and by virtue of renewable lease, Volume 85, folio 208, in the land eleventhly described in the Second Schedule hereto, all the said leases being registered in the Land Transfer Office at Nelson, are hereby taken, and that the Crown land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby set apart, for public works ; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-three.
