A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 1 acre 2 roods 24·8 perches.
Being part Section 1; coloured blue.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 3 roods 9 perches.
Adjoining Sections 1 and 2; coloured green.

All situated in Block VI, Motatapu Survey District (Otago R.D.). (S.O. 9325.)

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 115205, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of February, 1943.

Amendment to the Regulations under the Government Railways Acts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of February, 1943.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1908, on the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the Gazette of the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (as from time to time amended and as the same are enuring under the Government Railways Act, 1926), in the manner following, that is to say:—
By omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) of Regulation 67 and substituting therefor the following:—

“(b) To relaying gangers, ballast gangers, quarry gangers, fencing gangers, and line gangers in the Maintenance Branch, and married employees when relieving section-men in the Signal and Electrical Branch, if provided by the Department with sleeping-vans or huts, 5s. 6d. per night.

“(c) To other employees in the Maintenance Branch and the Signal and Electrical Branch, if provided by the Department with sleeping-vans or huts, 3s. per night.”

This amendment shall be deemed to have come into force on the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.

Declaring Road in the Borough of Whakatane to be under the Control and Management of the Whakatane Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of February, 1943.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be under the control and management of the Whakatane Borough Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road dealt with: 0·4 perches.
Being road by Proclamation published in New Zealand Gazette, 1940, page 1930, and formerly part Lot 4, D.P. 9758, being part Allotment 298, Parish of Waimana.

Situated in Block 11, Whakatane Survey District (Borough of Whakatane) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29500.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 99843, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
