I HEREBY give public notice that the following persons have
been duly nominated as candidates for the office of members
of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural Col-
lege :—

Election by agricultural and pastoral societies in the North
Canterbury portion of the Canterbury Provincial District,
one member to be elected—

James Robert Daniel Johns.

The said James Robert Daniel Johns being the only nomination
received is hereby declared duly elected.

Election by members of the Legislative Council resident in the
Provincial District of Canterbury and members of the House
of Representatives representing Canterbury Electoral Dis-
tricts, one member to be elected—

Terence Henderson McCombs.

The said Terence Henderson McCombs being the only nomina-
tion received is hereby declared duly elected.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP


THE partnership hitherto existing between JAMES ROBERTSON
and PERCIVAL ROBERTSON, carrying on business at Darga-
vile as plumbers and farmers under the name of “Robertson Bros.,”
has been dissolved as from 1st October, 1943.

The plumbing business will be carried on in future by JAMES
ROBERTSON in his own name at the premises in Normanby Street,
Dargaville. The farming business will be carried on by PERCIVAL
ROBERTSON in his own name.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP


NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing
between us, the undersigned, carrying on business as timber
merchants at Christchurch under the style or name of “The K. E.
England & Son Cash Timber Co.,” has been dissolved as from the
30th day of November, 1943. All debts due to and owing by the
said late firm will be received and paid respectively by JOSEPH
ROBERT ENGLAND and DAVID ERWIN WILSON, who will continue
to carry on the said business.

COUNTY OF AWATERE


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Awatere County
Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the
Awatere County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of meeting the additional cost of completing the Awatere
Water-supply Scheme within the Awatere Water-supply Special
Area, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one hundred and twenty-nine one-thousandths of
a penny (0·129d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis
of capital value) of all rateable property of that area of the County
of Awatere within and commencing at the junction of the Awatere
River with the southerly point of Section 3, Block XXI, Taylor
Pass Survey District, and following the Awatere River in an easterly
direction to the sea, and bounded by the sea in a southerly direction
to the corner of Section 5, Block XI, Clifford Bay Survey District ;
thence bounded by the southerly boundaries of Sections 10, 12,
13, 14, and 8 of Block XI, Clifford Bay Survey District, Section 6,
