Examination Anchorage altered.

Previous Notice: No. 16 of 1942.
Position: (a) 000° 4·5 cables from Steeple Rock Beacon in lat. 41° 19′ 18″ S., long. 174° 19′ 18″ E.
Details: Alteration has been made to the northern and eastern limits of the examination anchorage, which is now within the following limits: From position (a) above in a 270° direction for 3·5 cables; thence 000° for 7 cables; thence 099° for 5·4 cables; thence back to position (a).

Notice to Mariners No. 1 of 1943.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—PORT NICHOLSON.

Wreck—Buoy established.

Position: 069°, 1,717 yards from Halswell Point Beacon in lat. 41° 17′ S., long. 174° 49½′ E. (approx.).
Details: A red unlighted conical buoy with staff and globe surmount has been established in the above position to mark a wreck.
NOTE.—Vessels should not approach within 100 yards of the buoy.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from British Shoes, Ltd., Christchurch, for an extension of its existing license to permit the manufacture of men’s footwear by the welted process.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

An application has been received from L. M. Parry, 8 Hamana Street, Devonport, Auckland, for a license to take fish for sale by means of the fishing-vessel “O.K.,” Ak. 204, using set-nets, long lines, hand-lines, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Auckland.

Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on the above applications, and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than 28th January, 1943.

Fish Canning.

AN application has been received from Fishermen’s Co-operative, Ltd., Wellington, for a fish-canner’s license to enable them to establish and operate a factory, for the canning of fish for sale, at 75–77 Dixon Street, Wellington.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than 21st January, 1943.
