Register of Engineers.

Office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington, 21st October, 1942.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Engineers Registration Act, 1924, directing the Engineers Registration Board to furnish to the Minister
of Public Works in the month of April in every year a copy of the Register established under the said Act as at the
31st day of March then last past and directing the Minister to cause the same to be published in the Gazette, and pursuant to
the Publication of Registers Emergency Regulations 1942, providing that it shall be sufficient compliance with the aforesaid
provisions if there is published in the Gazette an amending list setting out the particulars specified in the said regulations, the
following amending list is published setting out the names added to and removed from the Register, and other material alterations
therein, since the publication in the Gazette on the 22nd day of May, 1941, in Volume II at page 1373 of a copy of the Register
as at the 31st day of March, 1941, and since the said 31st day of March, 1941.

Under the heading of “Qualifications” is shown the particular clause of section 6 of the aforesaid Act under which the
applicant has been registered.

The Wellington Dry Cleaning Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulations 1942, the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Wellington Dry Cleaning Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.

SCHEDULE.

THE WELLINGTON DRY CLEANING DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—
“ The district ” means the cities of Wellington and Lower Hutt and the boroughs of Petone, Upper Hutt, and Eastbourne ;
“ Dry-cleaning ” means the cleaning of apparel principally by the use of solvent ;
“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department
at Wellington under No. TT. 3352 ;
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport ;
“ Zone ” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan.

(2) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may collect apparel for dry-cleaning or deliver
such apparel after dry-cleaning are as follows :—

Air Station and U.S.M.C. Camp, Kaiwarra.
2. Victoria Laundry Co., Ltd. The area as described by Zone No. 2 and Zone No. 5 on the plan; also to

Sayes Court, Aurora Terrace, and Marsden School and St. Mary’s Home,
Karori. |
| 3. Wellington Dry Cleaning Co., Ltd. | The area as described by Zone No. 3 and Zone No. 5 on the plan and Rongotai
Air Station. |
| 4. Dominion Dyers, Ltd. | The area as described by Zone No. 4 and Zone No. 5 on the plan, and also
the areas of the City of Lower Hutt and the boroughs of Petone, Upper
Hutt, and Eastbourne ; also Rongotai Air Station, Dalgety and Co., Ltd.,
and Levin and Co., Ltd., Kaiwarra. |
