Notification of Exemption from Renter’s Quota under the Cinematograph Films Act, 1928.

IT is hereby notified that in accordance with the authority contained in section 29 of the Cinematograph Films Act, 1928, exemption has been granted to each of the following named renters in respect of the film-renting season for the year 1941–42 from the provision of the aforesaid Act, which requires every licensed renter to acquire a stated proportion of British films:

Special Order made by the Taieri County Council declaring that Sections 121 and 131, Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to that Council.

THE following special order made by the Taieri County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931.
SPECIAL ORDER.
"That the Taieri County Council, by way of special order, resolves that sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Taieri County Council, and that the balances standing to the credit or debit of the separate accounts at the close of the financial year ending 31st March, 1943, be transferred and incorporated in the General Account."
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Lyttelton Branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners’ Machinists’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1127, situated at Lyttelton, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade-motors, shall not apply to Frank Harris, of Paekakariki, and H. Cameron, of Stratford.
