NOTICE has been received, under the hand of the Returning Officer for the Maungakawa Rabbit Board, that William George Dally has been duly elected to be a member of the said Board, vice Mervyn St. John Wells, resigned.

Fixing the Rates of the Levy on all Wool produced in New Zealand.—(Notice No. Ag. 3973.)

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by section 10 (2) of the Wool Industry Promotion Act, 1936, I, James Gillispie Barclay, Minister of Agriculture, hereby fix the rates following, that is to say—

(a) For each bale, 6d. ;
(b) For each fadge, 3d. ; and
(c) For each bag or sack, 1d. ;

to be the rates of the levy to be charged on all wool produced in New Zealand which at any time during the season commencing on the 1st day of October, 1942, is exported from New Zealand or is delivered to a wool-manufacturer for use in New Zealand.

Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Auckland Egg Marketing Area.

PURSUANT to the Egg Marketing Regulations 1940, I, James Gillispie Barclay, Minister of Marketing, do hereby alter and redefine the boundaries of the Auckland Egg Marketing Area as defined in the First Schedule to the said regulations, and I do hereby declare—

(a) That the boundaries of the said marketing area shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto ;
(b) That this notice shall take effect on the 28th day of September, 1942.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land comprising the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Birkenhead, Northcote, Takapuna, Devonport, New Lynn, Newmarket, Mount Eden, Mount Albert, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, Ellerslie, Mount Roskill Road District, and all that area of land in the Manakau County bounded on the south commencing at a point where Ascot Road meets the high-water mark of Manakau Harbour; thence in an easterly direction proceeding along Ascot Road to meet Massey Road; thence in an easterly and north-easterly direction to the point where Massey Road joins the existing Otahuhu boundary at Mangere Railway-station.

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades.

Internal Marketing Division,
Wellington, 15th September, 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons of Fancy Grade and Commercial Grade respectively, delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.

The prices are fixed on an average basic price of 6s. 4½d. for sufficient fruit which when cured will pack a bushel case.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st September to 30th September, 1942 :—

Loose packed fresh lemons, Fancy Grade . . . . 4 6
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade . . 4 0

Portion of Hokianga Consolidation Scheme confirmed.

In the matter of subsection (6) of section 161 of the Native Land Act, 1931, and in the matter of an application to the Native Land Court to prepare a scheme of consolidation in respect of Te Ahikawariki and other blocks.

NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation (in part), dealing with Te Ahikawariki, Te Totara, Horotiu, Te Puia, Te Kahikatea, Pukehuia, Taraire, Potaka, Tapikitu, Taiwhakapiki, Te Karatia School Reserve, Te Touwai, Mauiui, Mangawhero, Mangapupu, Waima South A (part), Papamai, and Ratakamaru Blocks, being the first and final instalment of the Omanaia Subseries known as Series “B” of the Hokianga Consolidation Scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I, Henry Greathead Rex Mason, acting for the Native Minister, being satisfied that the partial scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the said partial scheme of consolidation so submitted.
