Note.--Goods consisting wholly or mainly of rubber: No license will be granted for the importation from the UnitedKingdom of any manufactured goods containing fifty per cent. or more by weight of rubber other than rubber tires formotor-vehicles and inner tubes therefor. Consideration will, however, be given to special applications in respect of suchgoods supported by a full description of the goods required and the purposes for which they are to be used.

Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1941.—Income-taxpayable.
IN accordance with Order in Council dated 10th September,1941, issued under the Land and Income Tax (Annual)Act, 1941, I hereby notify that the Income-tax leviable undersection 3 of that Act is payable at my office in one sum onThursday, 12th February, 1942, and that additional taxaccrues if not paid by 5th March, 1942. Liability is notsuspended by any objection, and tax must be paid by theprescribed date to avoid additional percentage; any overpayment will be refunded.Demands will be issued on or about 5th February, 1942,and must be presented with all payments. Taxpayers whodo not receive an expected demand should notify me.J. M. PARK, Commissioner of Taxes.
Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the powerand authority vested in me by section 3 of the PublicTrust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Deputy of thePublic Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Berkeley Phelps Hopkins, of the Public Trust Office,Whangarei, to be deputy of the District Public Trustee,Whangarei, during the absence of such District Public Trusteefrom his headquarters from any cause, and all previouswarrants appointing any deputy of the said District PublicTrustee have been revoked.Dated at Wellington, this 16th day of January, 1942.W.
