Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.
National Service Department,
Wellington, 20th August, 1942.
IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 18th August, 1942, issued to—
Theodore Ronald Curran, Motor-driver, High Street, Frankton Junction, Registration No. 631219, and
on the 20th August, 1942, issued to—
John Wilson, Van-driver, 173 Green Lane Road, Auckland, Registration No. 630863, and
Franklyn John Maurier, Salesman, 368 Lincoln Road, Christchurch, Registration No. 630979,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and Amendments.
WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that Michael Sullivan, of Merrijigs, Greymouth, Retired Miner, is the owner of the following property, the gross value of which is less than £1,000, namely :—

And whereas it is not known where the said Michael Sullivan is or whether he is alive or dead: And whereas it is provided by Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), as amended by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, that where the value of unclaimed real or personal property does not exceed £1,000 the Public Trustee (with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board) may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intentions to take possession of such property and exercise the powers conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, without application to the Court: And whereas the said consent of the Public Trust Office Board has been duly given: Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of the property above mentioned and all other property of the said Michael Sullivan, and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
