THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Special-rating Area No. 1 of the Board’s district as constituted by resolution passed on 23rd March, 1934, and recorded in the minutes of proceedings of the Board at pages 1615 and 1616 ; (d) the Clifton County Special-rating Area No. 2 of the Board’s district as constituted by resolution passed on 21st February, 1936, and recorded in the minutes of proceedings of the Board at pages 1907 and 1908 ; and (e) the Tarata Special Area as defined in Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette of 5th February, 1931, at page 214, and which are collectively hereby referred to as ‘The Rating Area,’ the said Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine two-hundredths of one penny (2⁸₀₀d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the rating area aforesaid; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Taranaki Electric-power Board at a duly constituted meeting held on the 20th July, 1942.

NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY RESOLUTION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of MOORE’S STORES, LTD. (in Voluntary Liquidation).
BY an entry in the shareholders’ minute-book of Moore’s Store’s, Ltd., it was resolved this 6th day of August, 1942, by an entry in the minute-book of the company as provided by subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933,—
“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and, as it is advisable to wind up the company, the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. RODERICK DRUMMOND McKECHNIE, of Dunedin, Registered Accountant, be appointed liquidator.”

NOTICE OF MEMBERS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING UP.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, Pattison and Ede, Ltd., duly passed by entry in its minute-book on the 6th day of August, 1942, the following special resolution :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. W. H. NICHOLLS, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company for the purposes of such winding up.”

NOTE.—The above company was merely a holding company and has been placed in liquidation pursuant to an internally planned scheme of reconstruction. The trading company known as The Pattison Ede Co., Ltd., is unaffected by this liquidation, and will carry on business as heretofore.

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Cobb Supply Loan, 1941.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a transmission-line and a 11,000/6,600 volt substation for receiving a bulk supply of electricity from the Public Works Department, the said Golden Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay Power Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board held on the 12th day of June, 1942.
