The Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay.—Election
of Members.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Education Act,
1914, it is hereby notified that the following have been
elected as members of the Education Board of the District
of Hawke’s Bay :—

For the Gisborne Urban Area—
Thomas Alston Coleman.

For the Napier Urban Area—
John Vivian Ennor.

For the Hastings Urban Area—
Christian Lassen.

For the North Ward of the Rural Area—
Edward Harold Baker.

For the Middle Ward of the Rural Area—
William Watson Bird.

For the South Ward of the Rural Area—
Herbert Sydney McGowan Quigley.

No poll was required for the Gisborne and Hastings Urban
Areas and the North and South Wards of the Rural Area.
The results of the polls held on the 15th day of July, 1942,
was as follows :—

Mead, William Henry Brown, Ira Wilson Mudford, and
Edward Fredric Hemingway duly elected as members of
the Board for the Wanganui Urban Area, North Ward,
Palmerston North Urban Area, South Ward, and West
Ward respectively.

Notice calling up Reservist for Service with the Armed-Forces.

National Service Department,
Wellington, 30th July, 1942.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in
pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulations 44
of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I
have this day issued to—

Nikols Daniel Sorich, Farm Hand, Chudleigh Estate,
Waihou, Registration No. 630229,

a notice calling him up for service with the Armed Forces,
such person having been convicted for that, being a reservist
belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which
has been proclaimed, he did fail to make application in
writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required
by Regulation 43(1) of the National Service Emergency
Regulations 1940.
