Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Hunua Survey District, Wellington Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July, 1942.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for quarry purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for railway purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for quarry purposes to a reserve for railway purposes.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 83, Manunui Village Settlement, situated in Block II, Hunua Survey District: Area, 14 acres 2 roods 15 perches.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Tollemache Road, in the County of Hawke’s Bay, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July, 1942.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Hawke’s Bay County Council on the nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two (in so far as it affects the north-eastern side of the road described in the Schedule hereto), viz.:
“The Hawke’s Bay County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Hawke’s Bay, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that road (or portion of road) known as Tollemache Road adjoining those parcels of land being Lots 49, 50, 51, 52, Deeds Plan 83B, Hawke’s Bay Registry.”
SCHEDULE.
THE north-eastern side of all that portion of road, situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, County of Hawke’s Bay, known as Tollemache Road, fronting Lots 49, 50, 51, and 52, Deeds Plan 83B, being parts Subdivision E of the Heretaunga Block, Block III, Te Mata Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 114423, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The North-western Side of Portion of the Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of July, 1942.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Main Highways Board on the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, viz.:
“That the Main Highways Board, being the local authority having control of the Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway, declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the north-western side of the portion of the Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway adjoining part Section 1 of 30, Takaka District, Block X, Waitapu Survey District (C/T. 64/22) ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western side of portion of the Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE north-western side of all that portion of road situated in the Nelson Land District, County of Takaka, known as the Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway, fronting Part 1 of Section 30, Takaka District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 113872, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment as Chairman, Government Railways Appeal Board.

PURSUANT to section nine of the Government Railways Amendment Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby appoint as a member and as Chairman of the Government Railways Appeal Board Alfred Coleman, of Feilding, Stipendiary Magistrate, to hold office for a term of two years from and including the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of July, 1942.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Samuel Thomas Raymond
to be a member of the Waimakariri Harbour Board in place of Benjamin Leaver (resigned), to hold office until the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-four.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Dunedin City Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act) in the Dunedin City Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said Act.

The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve. Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible after the close of the year.

The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE.
EVANSDALE GLEN SCENIC RESERVE.—OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 30 acres 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Sections 88 and 89 and part of Sections 62 and 63, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District. As the same is described in the Schedule to a Proclamation dated the 13th day of February, 1912, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 13, page 705, of the 15th day of February, 1912.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 96, Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of July, 1942.
