The Apple and Pear Marketing Regulations 1940.--Prices and Grading Notice.
PURSUANT to the Apple and Pear Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby revoke the notice under the said regulations published in the Gazette of the 13th February, 1941, page 263, and do hereby fix an overall average price of 5s. 3d. to be paid on apples and pears delivered to assembly points on and after 1st December, 1941, in accord with the requirements of the Internal Marketing Division.
The prices to be paid for the various varieties and grades of fruit are to be based on the following Schedule, the values of which will be subject to adjustment at the end of the season according to the grading of the fruit and to the packing materials available throughout the season so as to effect an overall Dominion average of 5s. 3d. for fruit packed within the standard pack:

The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.--Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades.

Wellington, 31st December, 1941.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons of Fancy Grade and Commercial Grade respectively delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices are fixed on an average basic price of 7s. 10½d. for sufficient fruit which when cured will pack a bushel case. Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st January to 31st January, 1941:

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Atawhai Extension No. 1, affecting parts of Sections 11 and 12, District of Suburban North, Block IX, Wakapuaka Survey District, Nelson Land District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the proposed road shown thereon should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by section 17, subsection (1) of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power him thereunto enabling, the Minister of Lands doth hereby authorize the laying-off of the proposed road of a width of not less than 40 ft.: Provided, always, that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Lands, this 12th day of January, 1942.
