Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of May, 1942.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the alienation by way of sale to, and the acquisition by, the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees of all the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing 3 roods 23·55 perches, more or less, being Lots 137, 138, and 139 on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 25399 (Town of Ohope Extension No. 1), and being portion of Allotment 246A, No. 2, Parish of Waimana, and being part of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 680, folio 136, Auckland Registry.

Officer authorized to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Walter Max Willis, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Acting District Manager, Public Trust Office, at Oamaru, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of May, 1942.

Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland Land District.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Henderson Town District, situated in Block II, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood and 6 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, under No. 24405, being part of Allotment 90 of the Parish of Waikomiti, and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 671, folio 163, Auckland Registry. (Recreation.)

All that area in the Whangarei Borough, situated in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, containing by admeasurement 18·13 perches, more or less, being Lot 7 on Deposited Plan No. 19587, being portion of Allotment 2 of the Parish of Whangarei. (Municipal.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of May, 1942.
