DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership hitherto existing between us and carried on at Hamilton under the name and style of “Gall and Bell, Fibrous Plasterers,” has from the 1st day of April, 1942, been dissolved.

HOKIANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hokianga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work—namely, for the purposes of a road—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the County Clerk to the said Council at Rawene, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work to to the taking of the said land, set forth their objections in writing, and send the same on or before the 6th day of June, 1942 (being a date not more than forty days from the first publication of this notice), to the Clerk at the County Chambers, Parnell Street, Rawene.

APPROXIMATE area of land required to be taken: 3 acres 2 roods 20 perches.
Being portion of Tautehere No. 2B 3 Block, Block VI, Whangape Survey District; coloured yellow on S.O. plan No. 29003.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF WELLINGTON.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take the land, with improvements, as described hereunder, namely:—
All that parcel of land containing fourteen acres three roods eleven perches and three-tenths of a perch (14 acres 3 roods 11·3 perches), situate in Block One (I) of the Rimutaka Survey District, being Lots 11 to 25 (inclusive), and part Lot 26 on Deposited Plan No. 9348, part of Section 94, Hutt District, and being also part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 348, folio 287.
The land is required for the purposes of a public work—namely, for a technical high school—within the meaning of the Education Act, 1914.
Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land is open for inspection at the offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, Brandon House, Featherston Street, Wellington, and at the residence of W. S. Higgs, Esquire, Main Road, Upper Hutt. All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Wellington, the offices of which are situated in Abel Smith Street in the City of Wellington.

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Electrical Generation Loan No. 2, 1941 (£13,000).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirteen thousand pounds (£13,000), authorized to be raised by the Otago Central Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of additional headworks and a further generating station at Roaring Meg Stream, together with an access road to the site of the new works, the said Otago Central Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Electric-power District comprising the whole of the Board’s Inner Area.”
