- The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Omatane and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board ; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 35 (formerly part 12), Block IV, Hautapu Survey District.

Order in Council as to Superannuation Rights of Joyce Margaret Whittaker, an Employee of the New Zealand Public Service Association (Incorporated).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of April, 1942.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS Joyce Margaret Whittaker, of Wellington (hereinafter referred to as “the contributor”), is, and from the nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, has been, exclusively engaged as an employee of the New Zealand Public Service Association (Incorporated) (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”), being an approved organization within the meaning of section fifteen of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1940:
And whereas immediately prior to being so engaged with the Association the contributor was a contributor to the Public Service Superannuation Fund and was then contributing to the said fund five per centum of her salary:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section fifteen of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1940, and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare and order as follows:—
- The contributor shall be entitled to continue to be a contributor to the Public Service Superannuation Fund during and in respect of the period of her engagement with the Association, subject, however, to the provisions of the aforesaid section fifteen of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1940, and to the following express conditions:—
(a) The contribution of the contributor to the Public Service Superannuation Fund shall (in accordance with subsection five of the said section fifteen) be at the rate of five per centum of the salary received by her from the Association:
(b) In addition to the contribution payable by the contributor, as specified in the last preceding paragraph, there shall be paid to the credit of the fund by the Association, at such times and in such manner as may be determined by the Public Service Superannuation Board, a sum equal to five per centum of the salary from time to time payable to the contributor by the Association.
- If the contributor is re-employed by the Association while in receipt of a retiring-allowance from the Public Service Superannuation Fund, no more of such retiring-allowance shall be paid in respect of any month than is equivalent, when added to the remuneration so received by her in that month, to one-twelfth of the annual salary on the basis of which she was contributing to the fund at the date of her retirement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him by the Government Life Insurance Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion—
(1) Doth hereby direct that the table designated VII contained in the First Schedule to the Order in Council made under the said Act on the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, be no longer used in the issue of new policies;
(2) Doth hereby approve and direct the use of the table set forth in the Schedule hereto;
(3) Doth hereby order that this present Order in Council shall take effect on and after the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.

Declaring Crown Land in the Canterbury Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said land”) is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is adjacent to certain land acquired under the said Act, and known as the Pareora No. 2 Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Land Settlement Board, and after considering the report of the Canterbury District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Pareora No. 2 Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 3508, Block XII, Otaio Survey District: Area, 22 acres 2 roods 14 perches.
