The Kapoc Control Notice 1942.
PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—
- This Notice may be cited as the Kapoc Control Notice 1942.
- This notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.
- Compliance with this Notice may be excused or varied by the express prior consent in writing of the Factory Controller and subject to such conditions as may be specified in such consent.
- Any such consent may at any time be withdrawn by notice in writing by the Factory Controller to the person to whom such consent was given.
- Within seven days of the date of publication hereof in the Gazette every owner of unused kapoc exceeding 28 lb. in weight shall furnish in writing delivered to the Factory Controller particulars of his stocks of unused kapoc, stating therein the quantities of such stocks and the store at which each such quantity is held.
- Within seven days of the importation of any quantity of kapoc the importer thereof shall furnish the Factory Controller with details of the importation, stating the quantity imported.
- No person who after the coming into force of this notice imports any kapoc shall thereafter sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any kapoc (whether it be the kapoc so imported or any other kapoc) without the precedent consent in writing of the Factory Controller.

The Cotton Drill Control Notice 1942.
PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—
- This Notice may be cited as the Cotton Drill Control Notice 1942.
- This Notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.
- Compliance with this Notice may be excused or varied by the express prior consent in writing of the Factory Controller and subject to such conditions as may be specified in such consent.
- Any such consent may at any time be withdrawn by notice in writing by the Factory Controller to the person to whom such consent was given.
- In this Notice “cotton drill” means cotton drill with either a twill or satin finish of a width of not less than 27 in. and of a weight not less than 6 oz. per square yard.
- Within seven days of the importation of any cotton drill as hereinbefore defined the importer thereof shall furnish in writing delivered to the Factory Controller particulars of such importation stating therein the colours, type of finish, weight per square yard, width, and lengths of the cotton drill imported.
- No person who after the coming into force of this Notice imports any cotton drill as defined in clause 5 hereof shall thereafter sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any such cotton drill (whether it be the cotton drill so imported or any other cotton drill as defined in clause 5 hereof) without the precedent consent in writing of the Factory Controller.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935.
PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 3rd day of March, 1942, ordered that Walter Robert Olliver, of Christchurch, be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor for three years from the 3rd March, 1942, and that he pay £63 towards the costs incidental to the inquiry.

Details: A nautophone sounding a blast of 10 secs. every minute has been established. - Position: Clyde Quay Wharf—above navigational lights.
Abridged description: Nauto.
Details: A nautophone sounding two blasts every minute thus—blast 5 secs., silence 5 secs., blast 5 secs., silence 45 secs., has been established.
Fog Signals discontinued.
- Positions: Corner of Fryatt and Aotea Quays, Jerningham Point.
Details: The fog siren in these positions has been discontinued.

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—EAST COAST.
Danger Area established.
Position: Cape Campbell Lt. Ho., lat., 41° 43′ S.; long., 174° 17′ E. (approx.).
Details: An air to air-firing range enclosed by the following lines has been established: A line extending 120° 2·2 miles from a position 200° 1·6 miles from lighthouse; thence 210° 5·2 miles; thence 300° to the shore. Mariners and others are advised not to enter the area as firing may take place at any time.
