National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 19).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 19) by including therein the undertakings set forth hereunder :—

National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.—Amendment to Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 22).

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 9 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, the Minister of National Service doth hereby amend the Declaration of Essential Undertakings (No. 22) by deleting therefrom the words :—

“The Alton Sawmilling Co., Ltd., at Tuatapere.”

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from Messrs. Lovrich Bros., 22 Franklin Road, Ponsonby, Auckland, for a variation in the conditions of industrial fishing licenses as applicable to the fishing-vessel “Betsy,” TA. 307, so as to permit the use of long lines, hand-lines, and set-nets only, and catches to be landed at Auckland.

Any person who considers that he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 9th April, 1942.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from Northampton Boot Factory, Ltd., 6 Korari Street, Auckland, for an extension of its existing footwear-manufacturing license, so as to permit the manufacture of military footwear by the screwed and stitched processes, such extension to operate for the duration of the war and six months thereafter.

Any person who considers that he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 9th April, 1942.

Notice of Result of Poll under Section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF RICHMOND.

PURSUANT to section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Richmond taken on 12th March, 1942, on the proposal of the Richmond Borough Council to borrow the sum of £9,000 for the purpose of connecting the borough water-supply system with the Roding River-supply,—

Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 201
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 92

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

John George Langton, Milk-vendor, 26 Arapuni Avenue, Onehunga, Auckland S.E. 5, Registration No. 624305,

George Ryder, Labourer, 102 Selwood Road, Hastings, Registration No. 450690,

notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.
