Light established.

Position: 076° 2,950 ft. from Devonport Sandspit beacon. Lat. 36° 50′ S.; long., 174° 48·5′ E. (approx.).

Abridged description: Occ. G. ev. 12 sec.

Details: An occulting green light, eclipse 6 seconds, has been established in the above position.

NOTE.—All vessels must pass southward of the light.

Alteration to Air-firing Danger Area.

Previous notices: Nos. 57 of 1939 and 48 of 1940.

Position: Lake Forsyth Entrance. Lat., 43° 49·5 S.; long., 172° 43′ E. (approx.). Chart 2532.

Alteration: The area has been altered to within five miles off the coast between lines extending 180° five miles from the outlet of Lake Forsyth and Te Taumatu (outlet of Lake Ellesmere).

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Unions.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 23 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, the registration of the industrial unions mentioned in the Schedule below will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled at the expiration of six weeks from the date of this notice.

INDUSTRIAL UNIONS OF WORKERS.

The Wellington Hairdressers’, Hairworkers’, and Wig-makers’ Assistants’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered No. 915; situated at Wellington.

The Canterbury Racing and Trotting Stable-hands’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1812; situated at Christchurch.

The Paper (Newsprint) Control Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—

  1. This Notice may be cited as the Paper (Newsprint) Control Notice 1942.

  2. This Notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

  3. Every occupier of a factory and every owner of factory materials shall comply with the provisions of this Notice.

  4. Compliance with this Notice may be excused or varied by the express prior consent in writing of the Factory Controller and subject to such conditions as may be specified in such consent.

  5. Any such consent may at any time be withdrawn by notice in writing given by the Factory Controller to the person to whom such consent was given.

  6. No person shall sell, lend, deliver, or otherwise transfer newsprint or remove newsprint from the premises in which it is situated at the coming into force of this order or (as the case may be) when it first comes into such person’s possession without the prior written approval of the Factory Controller.

  7. Every owner of newsprint shall, within seven days of the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, furnish in writing delivered to the Factory Controller particulars of his stocks of newsprint, stating therein the weight, sizes, and qualities of such stocks, the quantity of each respective weight, size, and quality, and the store at which each such quantity is held.

  8. Within seven days of the importation of any newsprint the importer thereof shall furnish in writing delivered to the Factory Controller particulars of such importation, stating therein the like particulars as are required of owners by the last preceding clause of this Notice.

PURSUANT to the Factory Emergency Regulations 1939, I, George Augustus Pascoe, Factory Controller, hereby direct and give notice as follows:—

GENERAL.

  1. This Notice may be cited as the Wrapping Control Notice 1942.

  2. This Notice shall come into force on the day next following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

  3. In this Notice, unless inconsistent with the context,—

“Cardboard” includes paperboard and other like paper products:

“Paper” and “cardboard” include used or second-hand paper and cardboard, and printed newspapers and periodicals and other printed paper.
