Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Taking Fish for Sale.

AN application has been received from H. H. Harrison, Main Road, Paremata, for a license to take fish for sale by means of a 22 ft. Diesel engine fishing-vessel (to be registered), using long lines, hand-lines, set-nets, drag-nets, and crayfish-pots, catches to be landed at Paremata.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 12th March, 1942.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from Messrs. A. Wander, Ltd., London, for a license to commence to carry on the above industry.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 12th March, 1942.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear.

AN application has been received from Modern Shoes, Ltd., Auckland, for an extension of its existing footwear-manufacturing license, so as to permit the manufacture of military footwear by the stitched and screwed processes, such extension to operate for the duration of the war and six months after.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing not later than the 12th March, 1942.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Otahuhu Branch of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1017, situated at Otahuhu, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Order under the Shipping Control Emergency Regulations 1939.

PURSUANT to the Shipping Control Emergency Regulations 1939 the Naval Board hereby gives notification as under:—

  1. This order may be cited as the Shipping Control Radio Equipment Order 1942.

  2. This order shall take effect on the day following the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

  3. In this order—

(a) A reference to a type of wave is a reference to the type of radio-electric emission so named and defined in Regulation 39 of the Radio Regulations 1932:

(b) “Authorized officer” has the same meaning as in the Shipping Radio Emergency Regulations 1941.

  1. This order shall apply to all ships subject to the Shipping Control Emergency Regulations 1939 to which the Shipping Radio Emergency Regulations 1941 apply.

  2. The master of every ship to which this order applies is responsible for compliance therewith on the part of all persons on board whether members of the crew or passengers.

  3. Every such ship shall, in addition to the main aerial forming part of its radio-transmitting installation, be fitted with an auxiliary aerial for emergency use which shall be erected in a different plane from that of the main aerial.
