2nd Lieutenant I. P. Nuttall, Area Mechanical Transport Officer, Area No. 6, Wanganui, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 10th December, 1941.

John Raphael Allman-Marchant to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the Central District Camouflage Section. Dated 8th December, 1941.

Bertram Graham Winter to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.). Dated 1st December, 1941.

N.Z. ARTILLERY.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) G. H. A. Johansen, 37th Battery, 12th Field Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st November, 1941.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.

Lieutenant E. P. Sanders, B.Sc., 3rd Signals Company, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 1st December, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) H. A. Heeter, 2nd Signals Company, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 18th November, 1941.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (temp.), 1st Battalion, are granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant :-

Alfred Eric Edward Clark to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 8th December, 1941.

THE TARANAKI REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) E. F. McCurdy, 1st Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st December, 1941.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

Captain N. McD. Matheson, 1st Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 1st October, 1941.

Expeditionary Force, dated 28th November, 1941, is posted to the N.Z. Temporary Staff in the rank of Major (temp.), and is appointed Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services, Army Headquarters, Wellington, dated 29th November, 1941.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.) J. F. Callagher, Quartermaster, Artillery Training Regiment, Trentham, is granted the temporary rank of Captain and Quartermaster. Dated 1st December, 1941.

W.O. II (temp. W.O. I) William Langovad, M.B.E., M.M., to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is appointed Instructor, β€œA” Training Battery, Artillery Training Regiment, Trentham. Dated 1st December, 1941.

Staff Sergeant Ernest Robert Hancock to be Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp.), and is appointed Quartermaster, 3rd Field Regiment, N.Z. Artillery. Dated 1st December, 1941.

Lieutenant-Colonel W. McK. Geddes, M.C., N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes command of the Northern Fortress Area, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Dated 5th December, 1941.

N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

Lieutenant-Colonel L. H. Jardine, D.S.O., M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Commandant, Army School of Instruction, Trentham, and is appointed Area Commander, Area No. 6, Wanganui. Dated 22nd December, 1941.

Lieutenant-Colonel the Hon. Mr. Justice E. H. Northcroft, D.S.O., V.D., relinquishes the appointment of District Artillery Officer, Southern Military District, and is appointed Fortress Area Commander, Lyttelton. Dated 2nd October, 1941.

Major C. R. Duke, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area No. 9, is appointed Area Commander, Area No. 9, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed. Dated 2nd October, 1941.

Lieutenant-Colonel J. G. Jeffery, M.C., V.D., relinquishes the appointment of Area Staff Officer, Area No. 11, and is appointed Area Commander, Area No. 11. Dated 2nd October, 1941.

Major H. C. Mackenzie, M.C., relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area No. 12, is appointed Area Commander, Area No. 12, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while so employed. Dated 2nd October, 1941.
