Notice calling up Reservists for Service Overseas with the Armed Forces.

National Service Department,
Wellington, 12th February, 1942.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have issued to—

Albert Charles Clapperton, Labourer, Wellington, Registration No. 619547, on the 9th day of February, 1942, and to
Gordon Thomas Rhodes, Carpenter, 33 Middleton Road, Remuera, Auckland, Registration No. 456645,
Chester Robert Biddick, Labourer, care of Post-office, Ngatea, Registration No. 618706,
William Gerard Gilmour, Electrician, 78 Devonport Road, Tauranga, Registration No. 622489,
William Henry James Gedye, Farrier, Muriwai, via Gisborne, Registration No. 617609,
Charles Henry Francis Carr, Motor Mechanic, 65 Shirley Road, Christchurch, Registration No. 621855,
William Kenneth Carrington, Painter, 123 Dean Street, St. Albans, Christchurch, Registration No. 581026, and

notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed Forces, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

IN pursuance of regulations made under the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927, I hereby certify that for the triennial election of members of the Teachers’ Superannuation Board constituted by the said Act, the following nominations were received :—

For the North Island, Francis Albert Garry and Thomas Kane; for the South Island, James Walter Armstrong and William John Cartwright.

As the number of persons nominated does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, I hereby declare that Francis Albert Garry, Thomas Kane, James Walter Armstrong, and William John Cartwright are duly elected members of the said Board.
