The Dannevirke Milk Delivery Notice 1942.

PURSUANT to Regulation 4 of the Delivery Emergency Regulation 1942,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice may be cited as the Dannevirke Milk Delivery Notice 1942.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the Monday following publication thereof in the Gazette.
  3. The scheme set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby provided for the said district.

SCHEDULE.

THE DANNEVIRKE MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means the Borough of Dannevirke as indicated by zones marked on the plan ;
“ The plan ” means the plan of the district deposited for the purposes of the scheme in the Head Office of the Transport Department at Wellington under No. TT. 3375 :
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :
“ Zone ” means a zone of the district marked on the said plan ;
“ Open zone ” means that area comprising all Station Street, all Ward Street, and High Street from the Junction Hotel to Tyler’s Dairy, inclusive.

(2) For the purposes of assisting in the administration of this scheme there shall be a committee which shall consist of the following members :—

(a) Two members to be appointed by the Dannevirke Borough Council ;
(b) One member to be appointed by the parties to this scheme ;
(c) The Zoning Officer for North Island.

(3) On the death or resignation of any member of the committee, the vacancy created thereby shall be filled by appointment in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed.
(4) The functions of the committee shall be to receive and investigate complaints affecting the administration of this scheme, to advise the Minister on any matters that may be referred to the committee by the Minister or that may be considered by it of its own motion, and to make recommendations to the Minister for amending this scheme.
(5) Subject to the foregoing provisions of this scheme, the committee may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
(6) Deliveries of milk under contract to schools and establishments of the Armed Forces are excluded from this scheme.
(7) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

C. G. Knight, High Street, Dannevirke The area as marked in violet on the plan and also the open zone.
A. M. Stephens, Adelaide Road, Dannevirke The area as marked in red on the plan and also the open zone.

THE BALCLUTHA MILK DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means all that area forming the Borough of Balclutha as at present constituted (including the Balclutha Hospital), the adjacent area to the south of the borough known as Rosebank, and the Township of Benhar.

(2) The names of the vendors who are parties to this scheme and the areas in which they may deliver milk are as follows:—

THE WANGANUI BREAD DELIVERY SCHEME, 1942.

(1) For the purposes of this scheme, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“ The district ” means the area of the Wanganui City and the districts of Mosstown, Springvale, Tayforth, and Putiki :
“ Minister ” means the Minister of Transport :
“ Wholesale purchaser ” means either—

(a) A person who purchases not less than thirty-six 2 lb. loaves per week or their equivalent in weight ; or
(b) A hospital, hotel, or similar institution.
