NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme
Court dated the 3rd day of December, 1942, confirming
the reduction of capital of the above-named company
from £62,979 16s. to £43,333 16s., and the minute approved
by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the
company as altered the several particulars required by the
above statute, was registered by the Registrar of Companies
on the 10th day of December, 1942.

THE PERPETUAL TRUSTEES ESTATE AND AGENCY
COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND, LIMITED.
I, ALFRED IBBOTSON, General Manager of The Per-
petual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New
Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:-
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided
into 25,000 shares of £4 5s. - That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
- That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings)
per share have been made under which the sum of £22,500
has been received. - That the amount of moneys received on account of
Estates under Administration during the six months ended
30th September, 1942, is £373,783 9s. 8d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
Estates under Administration during the six months ended
30th September, 1942, is £440,564 15s. 9d. - That the amount of the balance held to the credit of
Estates under Administration during the six months ended
30th September, 1942, is £92,422 6s. 8d. - That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day
of October last were debts owing to sundry persons by
the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil;
on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £264,325 16s. 9d.;
on estimated liabilities, nil. - That the assets of the company on that date were:
Government securities, £11,120; other securities,
£227,464 14s. 11d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes,
nil; cash on deposit, £45,580 11s.; cash at bank,
£38,602 6s. 9d.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously
believing the same to be true and by virtue of the pro-
visions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand
intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

DISSOLUTION OF LEGAL PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the firm of ROY AND WHITE,
Barristers and Solicitors, New Plymouth, has been
dissolved as from the 4th day of December, 1942.
Mr. CLEMENT GEORGE WHITE, who is at present abroad
on active service with the New Zealand Armed Forces, will
from this date practice in New Plymouth as a Solicitor on
his own account at the premises in Brougham Street formerly
occupied by Roy and White. Pending Mr. White's expected
early return to New Zealand, legal work required by his
clients will be carried out on his behalf by any solicitor in
New Plymouth whom his clients may choose to consult.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 300 of
the Companies Act, 1933, the following special resolution
was duly passed by the company on 7th December, 1942:-
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
JAMES ALEXANDER GENTLES, of Auckland, Public Accountant,
be appointed liquidator of the company."

DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE FARTHING (¼d.)
IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR DUNEDIN DRAINAGE
AND SEWERAGE BOARD RENEWAL LOAN (1943) OF £17,400.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewer-
age Act, 1900, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board
hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £17,400, authorized to be raised
by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the
above-mentioned Act, the said Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of
all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole
of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on
the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15)
years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct
copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage
and Sewerage Board on Monday, 7th December, 1942.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE GERALDINE COUNTY
ON THE GERALDINE-FAIRLIE MAIN HIGHWAY FOR THE PURPOSES
OF A PUBLIC ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain
public work-to wit, the straightening of a public road, and for the
purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
County Office at Geraldine and is there open for inspection; and
that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
County Clerk at Geraldine.

SYLVIA GOLD, SILVER, AND BASE METAL MINES (No
LIABILITY) (in Liquidation).
THE liquidators of the above company, which is being
wound up voluntarily, do hereby fix the 31st day of
December, 1942, as the day on or before which the creditors
of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to
establish any title they may have to priority under section 258
of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any dis-
tribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case
may be, from objecting to such distribution.
