Notice calling up Reservists for Service with the Armed Forces.
National Service Department,
Wellington, 19th November, 1942.
It is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of
the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National
Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have, on the 19th November,
1942, issued to-
Thomas Smith Maben, Seaman, care of Sailors' Home, Customs
Street, Auckland, Registration No. 635750,
William Leonard Neal, Seaman, care of Union Steam Ship Co.,
Ltd., Wellington, Registration No. 634956,
Frederick Trenowath, Electrician, care of Placement Officer,
Wanganui, Registration No. 635751, and
Paul Hannah, Watersider, 56 Carroll Street, Dunedin, Registration No. 635748,
notices calling them up for service with the Armed Forces, such
persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists
belonging to a division of the Reserve the enrolment of which has
been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for
enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation
43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

of General Courts-martial.

Royal New Zealand Air Force.
WHEREAS I am empowered by Warrant of His Excellency the
Governor-General bearing date the 28th day of November,
1938, to direct my Warrant to any officer of the Air Force not under
the rank of Squadron Leader, giving him a general authority to
convene general courts-martial for the trial of any person who is
subject to the Air Force Act, 1937, and the regulations made thereunder, and also to exercise (subject to the provisions of the said
Warrant) in respect of the proceedings of such courts-martial, the
power of confirming the findings or sentences thereof according to
law, or of directing him to reserve for my confirmation the proceedings
of all or any such courts-martial:
Now, therefore, by virtue of the said Warrant, I do hereby
authorize and empower you from time to time, as occasion may
require, to convene general courts-martial for the trial of any such
person who is subject to the Air Force Act, 1927, and the regulations
made thereunder, and who shall be charged with any offence for
which such person may be tried by court-martial:
And I do hereby empower you in respect of the proceedings of
such courts-martial to confirm the findings or sentences thereof
according to law.
And for so doing, this shall be to you, as to all others whom it
may concern, a sufficient Warrant.
Given under my hand at Wellington, this 14th day of November,
1942.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
An application has been received from R. Watson, 26 Harding Road, Napier, for a variation in his existing license to enable
him to operate the fishing-vessel “Vectis,” using trawl-nets, long
lines, and hand-lines, catches to be landed at Port Ahuriri.
An application has been received from B. W. Johnson, 25 Nelson Street, Auckland, for a license to take fish for sale by means
of the fishing-vessel “Peggy” (to be registered), using long lines,
hand-lines, short nets, drag-nets, crayfish-pots, catches to be landed
at Auckland.
An application has been received from G. Torkar, Clark's Beach,
Patumahoe, Auckland, for a license to take fish for sale by means
of the fishing-vessel “Betty” (to be registered), using long lines,
hand-lines, set-nets, drag-nets, and crayfish-pots, catches to be
landed at Clark's Beach, Manakau.
An application has been received from Joseph Bonica, Port
Ahuriri, for a variation in the conditions of his existing license in
respect of the fishing-vessel “Aroha,” NR. 38, to permit him to
operate trawl-nets in addition to long lines, hand-lines, set-nets, and
drag-nets, catches to be landed at Napier as previously.
Any persons who consider they will be materially affected by the
decisions of the Bureau of Industry on the above applications,
and who wish to make representations accordingly, must furnish
them in writing not later than 3rd December, 1942.

Purposes Emergency Regulations 1939, it is hereby
notified for public information that the addresses of the
Auckland and Wellington Provincial Patriotic Councils have
been changed, the new addresses being:-

National Mutual Buildings, Shortland Street, Auckland C. l.
Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council: Third Floor,
Electricity House, Lower Cuba Street, Wellington.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th November, 1942.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District
Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday,
14th December, 1942.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday,
15th December, 1942, at 11 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is
unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board
or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount
of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-TOWN LAND.
Te Kuiti Borough.-Te Kuiti Native Township.
SECTION 3, Block XXVI : Area, 1 acre 0 roods 5 perches. Capital
value, £60; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Weighted with £5 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising
old whare used as hay-shed.
This is a residential section situated in Mary Street, Te Kuiti,
half a mile from Post-office and Railway-station.
