All that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 17 perches, more or less, known as the Whakapapa Huts site, Tongariro National Park, being part Okahukura No. 8 Block, situated in Block III, Ruapehu Survey District, and being the whole of the area numbered 2 on Plan 18700, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 3 roods 38 perches, more or less, being portion of the Tongariro National Park, and being part Okahukura No. 8 Block, situated in Block III, Ruapehu Survey District, being the whole of the area numbered 7 on Plan 18880, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 3 perches, more or less, being portion of the Tongariro National Park, and being part Okahukura No. 8 Block, situated in Block III, Ruapehu Survey District, being the whole of the area numbered 8 on Plan 18880, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations under the Naval Defence Act, 1913, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1942.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule hereto as shown therein.

SCHEDULE.

ARTICLE 292, paragraph 4 : Cancel and substitute :—

  1. In special circumstances warrants may also be issued to any other person desirous of visiting a person dangerously ill, provided that the number of warrants authorized in paragraph 3 is not exceeded.

Paragraphs 6 to 9, inclusive : Insert :—

  1. Persons entitled, in terms of these regulations, to free traveling warrants may be granted financial assistance to meet accommodation-expenses, provided that—

(a) They are in necessitous circumstances ; and

(b) The personal payment of accommodation-expenses, while absent from their homes, would impose hardship on them.

  1. The cost of accommodation, not exceeding 15s. per diem, or proportionately for broken periods, may be accepted as a charge to public funds. Where accommodation at that rate is definitely not obtainable, a higher rate may be accepted.

  2. Where practicable, arrangements are to be made for next-of-kin to be met on their arrival at the place where the officer or rating is in hospital. These arrangements are to be made as follows :—

Where the officer or rating is in hospital at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, or Dunedin—by the Naval Officer in Charge on information supplied by the Commanding Officer of the ship in which the officer or rating was serving.

Where the officer or rating is in hospital at places other than the ports of Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, or Dunedin—by the Commanding Officer of the ship in which the officer or rating was serving.

  1. The Commanding Officer or Naval Officer in Charge making the arrangements may authorize the expenditure approved in terms of paragraph 7 of these regulations. Full details of expenditure approved, supported by receipted vouchers of the hotel concerned, are to be forwarded to Navy Office for the information of the Naval Board.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that Heaton William Spencer, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Senior Estates Clerk, Public Trust Office, at Palmerston North, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of November, 1942.

Warrant appointing Conciliation Commissioner under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, and its Amendments.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by subsection four (a) of section forty of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Michael John Reardon

to be a Conciliation Commissioner under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act for a period of twelve months from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of November, 1942.
