Captain J. G. W. Salt relinquishes the appointment of Assistant to the Chief Instructor, Army Service Corps, Army School of Instruction, Trentham, and is appointed Adjutant, Lines of Communication (Mechanical Transport) Units, Home Guard, Wellington. Dated 14th October, 1941.

Lieutenant B. M. B. Williams, Adjutant, 2nd Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps, is granted the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 10th October, 1941.

Captain E. W. D. Unwin, The Canterbury Regiment (attached to the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry), to be Captain (temp.), and is appointed Quartermaster (temp.), Armoured Fighting Vehicles School, Waiouru. Dated 15th October, 1941.

Robert Gerald Foulkes, M.C., to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is attached to the Branch of the Director of Mobilization, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 27th September, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant F. G. Tucker, Assistant District Supply Officer, Northern Military District, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 11th October, 1941.

James George Newell to be Lieutenant (temp.), and is appointed Inspector of Assembly Machine Gun Carriers, Army Inspection Department, Wellington. Dated 21st October, 1941.

Hon. Lieutenant D. H. Windeler, Superintendent of the Power-station and Related Maintenance Services, Waiouru Military Camp, is granted the temporary rank of 2nd Lieutenant and the acting rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st March, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (acting Lieutenant) D. H. Windeler relinquishes his commission in the N.Z. Temporary Staff. Dated 24th August, 1941.

Reginald George Hayward to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is attached to the Sick and Wounded Branch, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 1st October, 1941.

Colonel W. R. Foley, M.C., V.D., relinquishes command of the 2nd N.Z. Mounted Rifles Brigade, and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 1st August, 1941.

Lieutenant-Colonel W. W. Jefferd, Commanding 7th N.Z. Infantry Brigade, is granted the temporary rank of Colonel. Dated 1st January, 1941.

Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) O. Henry, E.D., The Auckland (East Coast) Mounted Rifles, relinquishes command of the Regiment and the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1. Dated 14th October, 1941.

Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) L. R. C. Macfarlane, M.C., V.D., The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, relinquishes command of the Regiment and the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), Area 10. Dated 8th October, 1941.
