THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Main Highways Board on the seventh
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one,
viz. :
“ The Main Highways Board, being the authority
having control of the Dunedin – Harrington Point Main
Highway, by resolution declares that the provisions of
section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the southern side
of the portion of the Dunedin – Harrington Point Main
Highway fronting Section 50, Upper Harbour East
District ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern
side of the portion of the Dunedin – Harrington Point Main
Highway (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance
of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion
of road.

SCHEDULE.
THE southern side of all that portion of the Dunedin –
Harrington Point Main Highway, situated in the Otago Land
District, County of Peninsula, fronting Section 50, Upper
Harbour East Survey District. As the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 108285,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Portion of Nile Street, in the City of Lower Hutt, exempted
from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act,
1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of
October, 1941.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Lower Hutt City Council on the
eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
forty-one, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street
described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :
“ That the Lower Hutt City Council, being the local
authority having control of the streets in the City of
Lower Hutt, by resolution declares that the provisions
of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of Nile
Street along the frontage of Lots 3 and 4, D.P. 11687 ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern
side of the portion of Nile Street (described in the Schedule
hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-
line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.
THE northern side of all that portion of street, situated in
the Wellington Land District, City of Lower Hutt, known
as Nile Street, fronting Lots 3 and 4, D.P. 11687. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 111970, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking in Part an Order in Council authorizing the Depart-
ment of Tourist and Health Resorts to use Water from the
Okere River for the Purposes of generating Electricity, and to
erect Electric Lines within the Borough of Rotorua and
Portion of the County of Rotorua.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, and with the consent of the licensee,
doth hereby revoke that part of the Order in Council dated
the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 81 of the fifth day of November, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty-one, which relates to or arises out of
the use of water from the Okere River for the purpose of
generating electricity.

Revoking the Declaration of Main Highways and declaring
Public Highways to be Main Highways.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
October, 1941.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by section three of the Main Highways
Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby declare that as from the first day of October,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, the portions of
main highways described in the First Schedule hereto shall
cease to be main highways and the roads described in the
Second Schedule hereto shall be main highways, within the
meaning and for the purpose of the Main Highways Act,
1922.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 1.
Awanui–Kaiangaroa.—All that main highway in the
Mangonui County, declared as the Awanui–Kaiangaroa Main
Highway, described in Order in Council dated 16th December,
1935, and published in the Gazette on 19th December, 1935.
Pamapuria–Mangonui.—All that main highway in the
Mangonui County, commencing at its junction with the
Whangarei–Awanui via Kawakawa Main Highway in Sec-
tion B 1, S.E.A. 2, Block VII, Takahue Survey District,
and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction
and terminating at its junction with the Pakaraka–Awanui
via Mangonui Main Highway at Mort’s Bridge, being a dis-
tance of 21 miles 24 chains, more or less ; as the same is
more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 112337, deposited
in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington,
marked A–B–C thereon, and coloured black and yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 1.
Pakaraka–Awanui via Mangonui.—All that road or portion
of road in the Mangonui County, commencing near Cooper’s
Beach at its junction with an unnamed road in Block V,
Mangonui Survey District, and proceeding thence generally
in a westerly direction and terminating at its junction with
the Whangarei–Awanui via Kawakawa Main Highway at
Awanui, being a distance of 17 miles 40 chains, more or less ;
as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D.
112337, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board
at Wellington, marked D–E thereon, and coloured green.
Pamapuria–Oruru.—All that road or portion of road in
the Mangonui County, commencing at its junction with the
Whangarei–Awanui via Kawakawa Main Highway in Section
B 1, S.E.A. 2, Block VII, Takahue Survey District, and
proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and
terminating at its junction with the Oruru–Taipa Road, in
Pakautararua No. 2 Block, Oruru Parish, Block VIII,
Mangonui Survey District ; as the same is more particularly
delineated on plan P.W.D. 112337, deposited in the office
of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, marked A–B
thereon, and coloured black.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 12.
Ngahere–Blackball.—All that road or portion of road in the
Grey County, commencing at the junction of Hilton Street
and Harper Street, and proceeding thence generally in a
north-westerly direction and terminating at the junction of
the access road to the Blackball Railway-station and the
road leading to Roa, being a distance of 25 chains, more or
less ; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan
P.W.D. 112338, deposited in the office of the Main Highways
Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 18.
Elles Road South.—All that road or portion of road in the
Borough of South Invercargill, commencing at the southern
boundary of Invercargill City, and proceeding in a southerly
direction via Elles Road ; thence in a westerly direction via
Stirrat Street and terminating at its junction with the
Invercargill – Bluff Main Highway, being a distance of
78 chains, more or less : as the same is more particularly
delineated on plan P.W.D. 112339, deposited in the office of
the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon
coloured green.
