IT is hereby notified that the order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order :—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 57.

The maximum price at which Symington’s Essence of Coffee and Chicory may be sold by way of retail at any place in New Zealand where a wholesale general merchant is situated shall be not more than as follows :—
For a 8½ oz. bottle, 2s.

At any other place in New Zealand there may be added to the price hereby fixed the actual or proportionate amount (calculated to the next highest halfpenny) of any extra freight incurred from the nearest wholesale general merchant’s store to place of sale.

I, CHARLES EDWARD ROBERTS, Returning Officer for the purposes of the Firefight Committee elections under the Firefight Committee Regulations 1928, do hereby declare that the following candidates have been duly nominated for the election of members of the Firefight Committee of the Rangiora Commercial Fruit-growing District, nominations for which closed at Wellington at noon on the 22nd September, 1941 :—

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders, marked on the outside “Tender,” will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, up to 2 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 7th November, 1941, for a lease of the undermentioned education reserve under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE.
Bay of Islands County.—Kawakawa Survey District.
Sections 52, 53, and 54, Block XVI; Area, 43 acres 0 roods 29 perches.* Minimum annual rental, £3 5s.
- Area subject to slight amendment following adjustment as the result of alteration to road frontage of Section 54.
Situated on Main North Road and Hospital Road, about one mile and a quarter from Kawakawa Railway-station by metalled road. Broken country covered with short tea-tree about two-thirds ploughable. Soil is poor clay; poorly watered by swamps.
Term of lease, twenty-one years with perpetual right of renewal at revaluation.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will close at the office of the State Forest Service, Hokitika, at 4 p.m. on Friday, 17th October, 1941.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND CONSERVANCY.—WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All the milling-timber on that piece of land containing two hundred and sixty-six acres, situated in Block XII, Ahaura Survey District, State Forest 27 and Provisional State Forest 1606, approximately fourteen miles from Ahaura Railway-station.
