Delegating Powers under the Cemeteries Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of September, 1941.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby delegate to the Marlborough County Council the powers conferred on him by section four of the said Act of appointing and removing trustees in respect of the Ruapeka Cemetery as described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, and being Section 78, District of Pelorus Valley, Block XI, Wakamarina Survey District : Bounded, on the north-west and north-east by the Nelson-Blenheim Main Road, 1038-7 links ; on the east by a public road, 1281.5 links ; on the south by Section 10, 937 links; and on the west by Section 1, 1048-5 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 191/55, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Health, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The Cook Islands Demonetization of Stamps Regulations 1941.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of September, 1941.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Cook Islands Act, 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations :

REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Cook Islands Demonetization of Stamps Regulations 1941.
  2. These regulations shall be in force in the Island of Niue.
  3. Every instrument that is dated after the 31st day of December, 1941, and is stamped with any of the stamps referred to in the Schedule hereto, and every postal packet that is posted after that date and is so stamped, shall be deemed to be not duly stamped.
  4. Every person who has in his possession any of the said stamps may at any time within twelve months after the said date present the stamps at any post-office in the Cook Islands or at the General Post Office, Wellington, New Zealand, and thereupon the stamps shall be exchanged for current stamps of an equal value.

SCHEDULE.

  1. Stamps of 2s. denomination bearing a portrait of King George V and overprinted “ Niue.”
  2. Stamps of denominations 2s., 2s. 6d., 5s., 10s., and £1 bearing a portrait of Queen Victoria and overprinted “ Niue.”
  3. Stamps of denominations 2s. and 3s. bearing a portrait of King George V and overprinted “ Rarotonga.”
  4. Stamps of denominations 2s., 2s. 6d., 5s., 10s., and £1 bearing a portrait of Queen Victoria and overprinted “ Rarotonga.”
  5. Stamps of denominations 2s. 6d., 5s., 10s., and £1 bearing a reproduction of the New Zealand coat-of-arms and overprinted “ Rarotonga.”
  6. Niue and Cook Islands stamps of denominations 1d., 2½d., and 6d. issued to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the reign of King George V and overprinted “ Silver Jubilee of King George V, 1910-1935.” (Issued 1935.)

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Samoa Act, 1921, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations :-

REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations may be cited as the Samoa Demonetization of Stamps Regulations 1941.

  2. Stamp-duty stamps of denomination £2 bearing a portrait of Queen Victoria and overprinted “ Samoa.”
  3. Stamp-duty stamps of denominations 2s. 6d., 5s., 10s., £1, £2, and £5 bearing a reproduction of the New Zealand coat-of-arms and overprinted “ Samoa.”
  4. Stamps of Samoa of denominations 1d., 2½d., and 6d. depicting a Native hut and issued to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the reign of King George V and over-printed “ Silver Jubilee of King George V, 1910-1935.”

Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native Reservation for the common use of the Whanau-a-Taharora hapu as a meeting-place.

PURSUANT to section four hundred and forty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette on the fourteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at page 761, and affecting Kaimanawa 1E 2B and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.
