In the matter of section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry dated 26th August, 1941, in the minute-book of the company, the following special resolution was duly passed :—
“ It is resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
At a meeting of creditors held on 4th September, 1941, JOHN KEITH BURTT and TURNER SMITH, Public Accountants, of Christchurch, were appointed liquidators.
All persons having claims against the company are requested to render accounts for same with full particulars to the liquidators not later than 19th September, 1941.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company, duly convened and held at Greymouth on the 22nd day of August, 1941, at 3 o’clock p.m., the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—
“ That the Nemona Gold Dredging Company, Limited, be wound up voluntarily.”
At the same meeting THOMAS HERBERT LEE (JUN.), of Reefton, Accountant, was duly appointed liquidator of the company for the purpose of the above winding up.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION EXTENDING TERM OF SPECIAL RATE.
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing security for a loan of £11,300, being a supplementary loan in accordance with the provisions of section 19 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for completing the work for which the Takapuna Borough Sewerage Loan, 1925, of £119,000 was raised, the special rate of one penny and seventeen one-hundredths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Takapuna made and levied by a resolution of the Takapuna Borough Council on the 30th day of November, 1927, and duly gazetted on the 15th day of December, 1927, is hereby extended to the 1st day of September, 1966, or until the said loan of £11,300 is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the adjourned extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above company has been summoned for the purpose of passing a resolution for voluntary winding up, and that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named company will be held at the office of Mr. W. E. L. Gay, Wakefield Street, Westport, on Monday, the 15th September, 1941, at 4.30 o’clock in the afternoon.

I, MARY HUNT, of Pukekohe, formerly known as MARY HUNN, hereby give public notice that, having been granted exemption under the Change of Name Emergency Regulations 1939, I have absolutely renounced my surname of HUNN and have adopted and determined on all occasions to use the name of HUNT in lieu thereof; and I further give notice that by deed-poll dated the 23rd June, 1941, enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Palmerston North Registry, on the 4th day of September, 1941, I formally and absolutely renounced the said surname of HUNN and declared I had adopted and intended thenceforth to use and be known by the name of HUNT in lieu thereof.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF HAWKE’S BAY.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXECUTE WORKS AND TO TAKE LAND.
—
PURSUANT to section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, notice is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay proposes, under the powers conferred by the Education Act, 1914, to execute a certain public work—namely, the establishment of a public school—and that accordingly the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the purposes of a site for a public school.
Notice is further given that a plan of the land required to be taken for the purposes aforesaid is deposited at the Otane Public School, Otane, Hawke’s Bay, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary school hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of the said land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land must set forth their objections in writing, and send the same to the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay at its office in Browning Street, Napier, on or before the 20th day of October, 1941, being a date not less than forty days from the first publication of this notice.

THE SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proposed to be taken : 5 acres.
Being part Block 37, Patangata Crown Grant District, being part Lot 1, D.P. 6256, Block VIII, Waipukurau Survey District; coloured on plan sepia.
As the said piece of land is shown on plan No. 2035 (red), deposited for inspection as aforesaid, and situate in the County of Patangata in the Land Registration District of Hawke’s Bay.
