Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Wai-ora Domain.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Robin Norman,
Jerry Brown,
Mate Petricevich,
Leonard Pene,
Edward Pene,
Kaeo Norman,
Madoline Murray,
Neta Brown, and
Rongo Pene

to be the Wai-ora Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Ngataki Hall, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SECTION 57, Block V, Hohoura East Survey District: Area, 5 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less.

Recreation Reserve in the North Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Wai-ora Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

Vesting a Reserve in the Cromwell Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a racecourse or for any other purpose in connection therewith, subject to the provisions of the Cromwell Racecourse Reserve Act, 1876: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cromwell:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cromwell, in trust, for a site for a racecourse or for any other purpose in connection therewith, subject to the provisions of the Cromwell Racecourse Reserve Act, 1876.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 300 acres, more or less, being Section 17, Block III, Cromwell Survey District.

Vesting Reserves in the Cromwell Borough Council.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart as reserves for the benefit of the Cromwell Athenæum subject to the provisions of the Cromwell Athenæum Reserves Act, 1877: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cromwell:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cromwell, in trust, for the benefit of the Cromwell Athenæum subject to the provisions of the Cromwell Athenæum Reserves Act, 1877.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 273 acres 2 roods 25·7 poles, more or less, being Sections 16 and 1457B, Block III, Cromwell Survey District, and Sections 1454B, 1455B, 1456B, and part Section 11, Block V, Wakefield Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Crown land, 550·7 links; towards the east generally by Clutha River River-bank Reserve, 16887·5 links; towards the south-west by Crown land and Lots 2 to 8, D.P. 2970, 5586·0 links; and towards the north-west generally by a public road, 12143·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; and, excepting out of the above-described area, a tail-race reserve 100 links wide and an old post-office site (now freehold), allowance for which has been made in the area.

Also all that area containing 1 rood 24·36 poles, more or less, being Sections 37 and 38 and part of Sections 3 and 4, Block III, Town of Cromwell: Bounded towards the north-east by Section 36, 200 links; towards the south-east by Sligo Street, 200 links; towards the south-west by Sections 1 and 2, 66·6 links; again towards the south-east by Section 2, 10 links; again towards the south-west by parts Sections 3 and 4, 62·34 links; towards the north-west by part Section 4, 10 links; again towards the south-west by part Section 4 and Sections 5 and 6, 71·06 links; and again towards the north-west by Sections 7 and 34, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
