Notice calling up Reservists for Service Overseas with the Armed Forces.

IT is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Regulation 44 of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940, I have this day issued to—

  1. William Alexander Torrance, Labourer, James Street, Broad Bay, Registration No. 457603,
  2. Kenneth Charles Parsons, General Labourer, 19 Kensington Street, Wellington, Registration No. 450014, and
  3. Nicholas Duzevich, Labourer, 4 Bourne Street, Mount Eden, Auckland, Registration No. 450001,

notices calling them up for service overseas with the Armed Forces as being reservists of Class A of the First Division of the General Reserve, such persons having been severally convicted for that, being reservists belonging to a class of the Reserve the enrolment of which has been proclaimed, they did fail to make application in writing for enrolment in that class of the Reserve as required by Regulation 43 (1) of the National Service Emergency Regulations 1940.

Price Order No. 45.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Price Tribunal by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939, and with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following Price Order :—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 45.

  2. The maximum price at which “Glacia” Iodised Salt packed in 20 oz. drums by the National Dairy Association of New Zealand, Limited, may be sold by the packer, the wholesaler, and the retailer shall be not more than the respective price set out hereunder for each such type of sale.

(a) When sold by the packer to a wholesaler—the price of 7s. 7d. per dozen net.

(b) When sold by a wholesaler to a retailer—the price of 9s. per dozen less 2½ per cent. if payment is made by the twentieth day of the month following month of delivery.

(c) (i) When sold by a retailer at any place in New Zealand where a wholesale general merchant buying “freight paid” is situated—the price of 11d. per 20 oz. drum.

(ii) When sold by a retailer at any other place in New Zealand there may be added to the price of 11d. per 20 oz. drum the actual or proportionate amount (calculated to the next highest halfpenny but not exceeding one halfpenny per 20 oz. drum) of any extra freight from such nearest wholesale general merchant’s store to place of sale.
