ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

Licensing Rawene Motors, Limited, to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Rawene, Hokianga, as a Site for a Garage.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license and permit Rawene Motors, Limited, of Rawene (hereinafter called “the company,” which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Rawene, Hokianga Harbour, marked as Section No. 1A as shown on approved plans marked M.D. 4084 and 4462, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a garage as shown on the said plans, such license to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

(1) This license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the 3rd day of August, 1941.

(3) The premium payable by the company shall be one pound (£1), and the annual sum so payable, five pounds (£5).

Cancelling the Vesting of Reserves in the Cromwell Athenaeum.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1941.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are reserves vested in the Cromwell Athenæum, subject to the provisions of the Cromwell Athenæum Reserves Act, 1877;

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said lands as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Cromwell Athenæum has duly consented to such cancellation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Cromwell Athenæum of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 273 acres 2 roods 25·7 poles, more or less, being Sections 16 and 1457R, Block III, Cromwell Survey District, and Sections 1454R, 1455R, 1456R, and part Section 11, Block V, Wakefield Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by Crown land, 550·7 links ; towards the east generally by Clutha River River-bank Reserve, 16887·5 links ; towards the south-west by Crown land and Lots 2 to 8, D.P. 2970, 5586·0 links ; and towards the north-west generally by a public road, 12143·5 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; and, excepting out of the above-described area, a tail-race reserve 100 links wide and an old post-office site (now freehold), allowance for which has been made in the area.
