Captain (temp. Major) W. R. Lascelles, The Canterbury Regiment, relinquishes the temporary rank of Major, is appointed to command the 1st Battalion, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1st June, 1941.

The period of command of Captain (temp. Major) R. M. South, 3rd Signals Company, is extended to 6th July, 1942.

THE WAIKATO MOUNTED RIFLES.

Lieutenant A. R. Griffiths, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Lieutenant (temp.), with seniority from 19th June, 1941. Dated 2nd July, 1941.

THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.

Raymond Ingram Wilkinson to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.). Dated 20th June, 1941.

N.Z. ARTILLERY.

Captain (temp. Major and Quartermaster) H. de Wolfe, E.D., 1st Field Regiment, relinquishes the temporary rank of Major and Quartermaster and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class II (b), Area 1. Dated 3rd July, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) E. Dolbel, 37th Field Battery, 12th Field Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1st July, 1941.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) H. G. Nathan, 1st Battery, 1st Field Regiment, relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieutenant, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 8th May, 1941.

CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Lieutenant (temp.) W. L. Mynott, A.M.(N.Z.)I.E., M.I.S. (N.Z.), 22nd Field Company, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 25th May, 1941.

The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (temp.), 2nd Field Company, are granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 30th June, 1941 :—

Captain R. Jones, 3rd Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Major. Dated 6th April, 1941.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

Lieutenant J. R. A. Whelan, 1st Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 10th June, 1941.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Captain (temp. Major) W. R. Lascelles, from the National Military Reserve, to be Captain (temp. Major), and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 1st June, 1941.

Captain C. E. Iversen ceases to be posted to the 4th Cadet Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd Battalion, with seniority from 16th June, 1941. Dated 16th July, 1941.

NATIONAL MILITARY RESERVE.

Lieutenant T. H. McDonald, 18th Company (Timaru), is posted to the Retired List. Dated 8th July, 1941.
